8° INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL SEGHIZZINREGIONE

Art. 1
SEGHIZZINREGIONE is a choral contest which takes place in the Italian region of Friuli Venezia Giulia and which is open to all amateur groups. Amateurism is not requested for choir directors or eventual instrumentalists.
Art. 2
There is no limit for the number of the choirs and for the participating groups.
(a) There is no limit for the number of performers
(b) All kinds of choirs will be admitted: mixed, male, female and child voices.
Art. 3
The groups who want to take part to the choral contest SEGHIZZINREGIONE must send their Application to: Associazione Corale Goriziana “Seghizzi” – CASELLA POSTALE 7 – 34170 GORIZIA (Italia); your application will be valid if arrived within 12 p.m. of March, 1st 2010. Application forms and digital photos can be sent by e-mail info@seghizzi.it
Art. 4
After having consulted the Artistic Board, the Organizing Board will unquestionably and definitively decide within March, 10th 2010 the eventual acceptance of the application of the groups entered for the concert contest SEGHIZZINREGIONE. Artistic validity of the program and executive qualities represent an essential condition for the acceptance of a group.
Art. 5
Within twenty days after the date in which the acceptance of the application has been received, the admitted groups are requested to carry out the payment of the enrolment fee of EURO 50,00 through the bank account n. 07401601692S ABI 06340 CAB 12410 CIN X of the bank Friulcassa of Gorizia (Corso Verdi 104, 34170 Gorizia) in name of the Associazione corale goriziana “C. A. Seghizzi”. For payments from abroad the IBAN number is IT55X063401241007401601692S; the SWIFT code is IBSPIT2U. According that any bank commission must be deducted from the fee in advance, all the expenses related to these commissions should be paid by the choir that takes part in the competition.
Art. 6
Every choir must present one or two concert programs (maximum duration: about 1 hour); for example: a program of sacred music only and/or a program of profane music only. The number of the pieces included in the program depends on the typology of the repertory presented.
Art. 7
The Organizing Board will choose the place and the location in which the concert takes place in base of
(a) the preferences of the purchaser
(b) the typology of the program(sacred or profane)
(c) the number of the members of the group
(d) organization and logistics needs, general and particular needs
Art. 8
(a) The choirs must organize themselves for their travel, board and lodging and meet the relative expenses
(b) The Organizing Board will send the list and addresses of hotels or tourist services agencies to the groups who will make request for them
(c) The groups can stay in institutes with special prices by means of the help of the Secretary’s office of Seghizzi Association (Euro 20-30 per person- full board, double or triple room). The date in which the participating application is presented represents the priority right for this choice or for the cheapest one.
Art. 9
The choir will receive from the Organizing Board an amount of money as refund as follows:
For every concert:
€ 450,00 if the concert takes place in a city of the region Friuli Venezia Giulia which is not more than 100 km
far from Gorizia
€ 650,00 if the concert takes place in a city of the region Friuli Venezia Giulia which is more than 100 km
far from Gorizia
For every eventual further concert:
€ 400,00 if the concert takes place in a city of the region Friuli Venezia Giulia which is not more than 100 km
far from Gorizia
€ 600,00 if the concert takes place in a city of the region Friuli Venezia Giulia which is more than 100 km
far from Gorizia
The choirs who will decide not to make use of this refund (by stating it in their application) will have the priority in the admission of the concert contest.
Art. 10
(a) all concerts will begin approximately at 9 p.m.
(b) Dates, places, musical programs and the curriculum with photo of the choirs who will partecipate in the SEGHIZZINREGIONE contest will be also printed in the official program booklet of the concert contest and published in the web-site of the “Seghizzi” Association.
Art. 11
The choirs who will take part to the Seghizzinregione choral contest are not allowed to perform in other concerts in the same period (12-19 July 2010) in the region Friuli Venezia Giulia for other organizations. Otherwise the choir will be disqualified from the contest. This disqualification nullifies every condition of this regulation concerning the Organizing Board.
The choirs who will take part to the 8° Seghizzinregione contest can visit the main places of historical, artistic and landscape importance of this region. The Organizing Board of the Festival will put at disposal several contacts and opportunities.
